Protects against collisions between pedestrians
and vehicles. Sensors are triggered only when a
pedestrian or vehicle passes though detection field
in a single specified direction. The sensor will only
light up the sign as the pedestrian is walking INTO
the intersection, not as they exit (no false positive
reading).
